new signatures...

These are the SHA1 for the CHD files.

What I'm wondering is how to use these. Maybe we need to wait for the next Romcenter beta?

new mame rom signatures

by nomadsoul2k » Sat Apr 02, 2005 11:15 pm

Can romcenter handle those new 20 bytes signatures (instead of the usal crc32) that exist in the new entries of mame 0.95? I think that the .95 version of Logix's mame dat file, makes several references to the chd files, by including a signature of 20 bytes. MD5 signature is 16 bytes long, CRC2 is 4 bytes long. Is that signature a concatenation of both? What is that signature? Any clues?
Thanks in advance.
