Re: Can I safely delete roms that are "incomplete"

It is possible to get all green rom, of course. you just have to check in red games which roms are missing and find them. you can safelu try to delete red files. Romcenter will check if a rom is about to be lost if deleting (if there is only on copy of it) and it will ask a confirmation in this case...

Re: Similar Romcenter 3.x view

You can move all tools bar where you want, and also move datagrid headers to the top to group. For example, move 'main game' column to the 'group' area to get a v3-like datagrid.

Re: loading issues

Hi I can't reproduce these 'out of memory' errors. If you restart your pc, does it fix the problem? Do you have enough disk spaces on your different disks? Also, can you check the memory consumption (using task manager) during loading ? Note that this is a 32b version, and it is limited in ram amoun...

Re: Roms with two different archive icon

The 'check' status on icons means the game is marked as 'verified' in the dat. This is mostly used with no-intro dats.

Re: romcneter always zips my roms

Yes, you're right, a 'uncompressed' option is missing.
Working on uncompressed rom will keep them uncompressed, but exporting to a new game will create an archive.
I will fix that in next release.
Can you fill a request here for tracking ?

Re: How does romcenter handle CHD files?

Rom are processed as chd if they have the flag 'Disk' in the datafile.
The crc calculator extracts then the sha-1 value from the mame chd header.

Crc is calculated taken from the zip header if the file is zipped. It is calculated from the binary content else. For console dat, a plugin can be use to calculate the crc of the game code only, skipping the cartridge copier header. This way, the crc remains the same whatever cartridge copier is use...

Re: How does romcenter handle CHD files?

Hi Romcenter will store CHD unzipped in a folder with same name as the game, as expected in mame. You can try it on several chd from a backup and check if it is what you expect. http://wiki.romcenter.com/wiki/doku.php?id=chd Btw, final release will be out by the end of the month.
