Yup, forum still needs some work... Melerix, let me know if you want this, i can upload it elsewhere. yes, thanks. later I'll try to create it in another PC, because is not a good idea having to request a DB for every new MAME released xD I hope this performance issue/bug be fixed in the final rele...

Re: RC4 b1 performance issues or bugs ?
!!!!! Windows 10 with 1GB ram ?!?! Yikes! yes, with 32 bit version, and it runs ok :P Count ~500 MB(stable) when creating a mame database. You also need 1 GB of free space on HD when creating/updating database for temp files.<br abp="657">I'm afraid I can't do much for that... then RC4 b1 requires ...

Fixed RC4 b1 performance issues or bugs ?
testing RC4 b1 and creating DB from emulator with MAMEUI32 0.162, memory usage can easily reach 550mb or more, making my PC practically unusable for several minutes, then RC4 b1 closes itself (I guess it crashed due out of memory). My System: CPU: AMD Sempron 145. RAM: 1GB. OS: Windows 10 Build 1013...

hope that someday you can consider making this project an opensource project, github is a good place to do that.

Re: Wip
thanks for the news!
anyway, I'm wondering if you need more help from others developers ?
because seems you are doing all this work alone and nobody helps you.
maybe is time to move to OpenSource ? Github could be an idea that you may consider in a future.

good news, as been a long time waiting for it. btw, is there plans to reeplace firebird db by other engine ? for example sqlite (no idea if possible) in order to make db more fast and less resource usage, because firebird db is really slow in single core CPUs specially with M.A.M.E db, it could take...

Re: Daltonism
And how do you insert a 'huge amount of roms at once' ? There is no sql command to batch import. I already do an uncommited load to speed up things. well, here is an example for MySQL... fast insert INSERT INTO `table1` VALUES (a, b, c, d), (e, f, g, h), (w, x, y, z); slow insert INSERT INTO `table...

I downloaded a DAT file (Sony - PlayStation (20130613 11-45-22).dat) from www.redump.org and loaded it in RomCenter properly, but don't understand how import the ISOs or related.

Re: potential bug for romcenter
I noticed corruption in some roms files in 7z, sometimes.
for example with some "bios roms files", where there is files to remove or rename inside, if I select RC to repair, it currupt the file at the end.
so I had to update these roms manually.

well, I had to tell you that most of the "dump teams" of the scene are working with No-Intro Dats.
and for example GoodGBx 3.14 last udpate is from around 2007~

GoodX is outdated in matter of DATs for Roms since years
I suggest you to use No-Intro's DATs that are really more updated and with proper hashes

Are you using a plugin ? (help/about/plugin) is clean install, and in (help/about/plugin) only show: arcade.dll version 1.8 Removed files are moved to an archive folder by default (see settings/general). If you disabled the option, they are moved to the dustbin. In both case, you can restore them. ...

RomCenter 3.6.0 bug with rom file hashes
Seems the new RomCenter 3.6.0 version have issues with hash info of the roms when it is in upper or lower case, then RomCenter thinks that the rom not exist or is unknown, and delete the rom accidentally (when you try repair all roms and impossible to recover)
