What's new ?
Hello The current dev status of romcenter 4.1 is stable. All unit tests are running ok. It means all engines operations are ok. I'm now checking that the user interface behaves as expected. I already detected some problems and I'm currently fixing them. I start to look at the requested command line ...

Re: Work in progress
You're right, xml or json to describe action can be the solution. About upgrading a db (because a new rc version comes with a new db version), rc actually does it when opening the db. There is no specific action to do that and you have no choice but updating. I will provide a first version with only...

Great news also.
Syntax for commands are open. It will more or less be what you propose.
I can offer several switch for anything that can be usefull, from updating a db, adding paths or fixing rom.

Some new on work in progress: I worked last week on refactoring some part of the code. The final version will be more stable. I'm now dealing with configuration part (injecting config class). This will fix problems with settings sometimes not saved. Tuesday, I will attempt to rewrite the plugin test...

Hi
This behavior is not correct. I fixed something similar in the next version.
Anyway, I will check these specific cases to be sure it is correct in v 4.1
Thanks for the reports and examples.

Re: -> Participate in Romcenter version 4 design!
Hi Wanderer
I'm not sure to understand the goal. Do you mean updating romcenter databases with datafiles new versions ? without opening all databases ?
If yes, I can provide in the next version a command line interface. This is one point in my todo list. This behaviour is already used for the tests.

Hello During the previous tests I did last week, I found a bug about 'nodump' devices, which are duplicated when loading datafile, and another one when datafile contains inconsistencies between main devices status and same devices used in clones. For example, main using a device rom marked as good, ...

Re: Can I safely delete roms that are "incomplete"
It is possible to get all green rom, of course. you just have to check in red games which roms are missing and find them. you can safelu try to delete red files. Romcenter will check if a rom is about to be lost if deleting (if there is only on copy of it) and it will ask a confirmation in this case...

You can move all tools bar where you want, and also move datagrid headers to the top to group. For example, move 'main game' column to the 'group' area to get a v3-like datagrid.

Hi I can't reproduce these 'out of memory' errors. If you restart your pc, does it fix the problem? Do you have enough disk spaces on your different disks? The 'check' status on icons means the game is marked as 'verified' in the dat. This is mostly used with no-intro dats.

Re: romcneter always zips my roms
Yes, you're right, a 'uncompressed' option is missing.
Working on uncompressed rom will keep them uncompressed, but exporting to a new game will create an archive.
I will fix that in next release.
Can you fill a request here for tracking ?
https://bitbucket.org/ebolefeysot/romcenter/issues
Thanks.
