Romcenter

Add both folder, the one with the original 0.36b12 roms, and the new one (empty).
Go into the first folder, select all roms, right click and use the shell/move or shell/copy action.

Sorry.... :( No luck to reproduce the error..... Tried with the amiga adf games and a folder with 174 games. Tried with the amiga bios dat and 10 kickstarts Tried with the spectrum dat, but I don't have any games. I downloaded 2 of them, but it works.... Folders added, and filename fixed. No errors....

I loaded the Commodore Amiga - Games ADF TOSEC-v2004-06-09 and the datafiles you posted here with version 2.62 and 2.70 beta 2 and I can't reproduce the problem.
Could you tell me exactly how to get the error ? Does the error occur during a fix operation ?

2.62 does not correctly handle resources from mame.
About a final 2.70 version, not until late august, since I'm in holidays soon.

Firstly, you need a correct datafile to manage your roms. If you have mame roms, you need the mame datafile etc...

Once you get the correct datafile, you should have colored roms, green, yellow and red (See explanation in the help) and you can fix some of them.

No, no serious problems with mame. you can use it, but, as always, don't forget to backup your roms.

You try to run a game whose file is not complete. The game is not green in romcenter. A green game in the database section does not mean that the game zip is also green. It simply mean that all roms have been found. Now, they can have bad name, they can be on different places.... Go to the path wher...

I agree with you Logiqx. (rather than giving a link and making the user download it) Do you prefer I post a link to your tools ? It will be less easy to have a full install of romcenter then... but you're the author and I'll do as you want. Also, I didn't include the datutil source to reduce the zip...

xml2info should be in the mame directory. It is unzipped with the mame exe.

Yes, it works under win2k. Maybe a problem in a datafile. Can you hit the cancel button when loading ?
Try also to remove all datafile from the data folder.

Yes, replacing the listinfo by a listxml will work. No problems for modifying the code to bypass a problem.

You can use the romcenter filter and the datafile creator to build any custom datafiles with no additional tools: Put a filter in the toolbar filter box: for example : us. Once you downloaded the datafile, it appears in the combo box on the toolbar in the main windows.
Open the combo box and select the datafile to load it.

RomCenter scans all your roms and compare their name, date and time with the matching datas in cache. It also counts the number of files in rom folders and compares with the cache.
