Version 2.70 beta 6 released
This update includes romcenter.exe and datutil 2.15 from Logiqx (http://www.logiqx.com)

What's new

Note:
- Rc datafile generated by winkawaks 1.53 is corrupted. Use the Clrmame dat instead.

Installation:
- install version 2.62
- unzip rc270b6 and replace files in your romcenter folder

Backup your files before using this version.

WebDataFiles:

FeatureReq: When you click on it, it automatically tries to connect to several sites. IMHO, someone may not have a connection open all the time and he may press it accidentally so perhaps an entry in the INI to prevent RC from automatically trying to check for web datafiles would be nice. After all, a Refresh button exists in the form...

Bug: When you press cancel, it does not cancel, it just disables the cancel button, says "cancelling, please wait" but still tries to connect to all datasites.

That one works.

The one that you have that I try before said this - Bad Request, not allow. You must of disabled something that keep me from downloading it. I using a LeechGet 2004 Version 1.1 RC 1520 and it was working before on your website. What did you disabled to keep me from downloading it?

I've just release DatUtil v2.16 which saves disk information in RomCenter data files.

Note: RomCenter does not support disks (CHDs) or the SHA1 checksums that they use. The disk information is simply in the data files for plugin authors to use.

The disk information only works correctly with RomCenter 2.70 beta 6 so don't try this version of DatUtil with an earlier release of RomCenter.

Logiqx

It would appear I've found a bug in RC.
I was testing the new SMS/GG plugin and disabled the "fix file extension" under preferences.
Now any file name with a (x.x).xx is being cut short.
Examples:

Ax Battler - A Legend of Golden Axe (J) (V1.5).gg is renamed to
Ax Battler - A Legend of Golden Axe (J) (V1.gg

Ninku (J) (T+Eng0.1).gg is renamed to
Ninku (J) (T+Eng0.gg

It only happens with unzipped rom sets.

Having some problems with any of the RomCenter programs.

Deleted all the dats out the C:\Program Files\Romcenter\Cache and bootup the RomCenter again. It fixes the reading the dats problems to me. But not all the time.

But it just a bug on the reading.
