Version 2.70 finally released 8)

 This version of romcenter doesn't use anymore the registry. Your romcenter current settings will be lost with this version. Fortunatly, Wanderer wrote an add-on utility for transferring RomCenter's settings from registry to INI. You can found it on this page: http://www.wandereronline.info/wanderer/index.html

 When uninstalling this version of romcenter, it will clean old registry keys : 'HKCU/software/romcenter' and 'HKCU/software/romcenter2'

You're not dumb :P

I'm working on it, but 2.62 translation must be updated for rc 2.70.
If some visitors want to do this in their language, you're welcome.
Let me prepare the resources files, merge them with old 2.62 resources and publish them.

I've just finished my translation. Huh it has taken a long time for me.
It is complete but I don't say it is perfect. There might be translation errors I hope not. I used Delirious nick in it
Here is my work:

Link deleted because 2.71 contains the hungarian translation.

By the way Eric! This is untranslatable:

In Preferences/Romsets:
%3: file name with path (c:\games\galaga.zip)

Your software sucks. Perhaps you should make it clear that deleting a path from the left-hand list of monitored folders means deleting it from your hard drive? Jesus... It's a f-u-c-k-i-n-g good job that I made a new backup earlier today.

Sheesh....

There isn't a deleting path menu or command in RomCenter. Only "Close rom path" and "Delete files". The former one will do nothing but only remove the path from RomCenter. The latter one is marked as a "Shell operation" in context menu, which means clearly that this operation will affect on hard drivers, like the other shell operations such as moving or copying files. If you did not notice it, that's your misplay. What's more, all the files deleted by RomCenter are able to be restored from recycle bin, unless you have disabled it.

It start to freezing up now on Mame32 0.103u5.

I wonder why it started on the new update.

I have the lates DatUtil v2.26.

Maybe there too many roms and causes it to slowdown and lagging.

I'm using merge settings.

Its not a Romcenter problem, its your PC. You need to investigate further.

Are you sure?

My current MAME system PC specs: Intel P4 3.20GHz, 2 Gb RAM, ATI RADEON 9550 256Mb, Direct X 9.0c, ATI Catalyst Control Center 6.1, J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 6 and Windows XP Professional (SP2 installed).

Ok. I deleted all the datas and deleted the romcenter.ini. It back to normal now after deleted those. I have to keep deleting those if it start to lagging again. Btw: I don't know why it does that. That why I ask what the problem is.

Just simply use MAME32 to run/play your roms, dont use RC.

MAME32 can be found here http://www.classicgaming.com/mame32qa/

I have been playing from the Mame32 and not on RC.

I use RC to rebuild the roms zips sets only.

Maybe I need to use the Mame instead of Mame32 on RC to rebuild the roms zips sets. Maybe that is the problem right there that I not using the Mame.

As you can see it freezes up bad. I have to deleted the romcenter.ini and the datas to stop it from freezes up everytime now before loading it up.

Why does it show two Romcenters running?

RC 2.70 and DATUTIL 2.27 run perfectly here, therefore its your PC.

My advice is to uninstall RC completely.

Download DATUTIL 2.27, install RC 2.70 fresh and then copy over DATUTIL 2.27 to your RC directory.

Try that and see if it works.
