Capitalizing ROM names

Post by Xeno »

I must just be picky, but I hate selecting "capitalized" for my ROM names, only to see it muck up roman numerals--so I get Ii instead of II, Iv instead of IV, Ix instead of IX, etc.

It doesn't seem to understand acronyms, either. So you have a game like Z.O.E 2173 Testament become Z.o.e. 2173 Testament, etc.

It would be really nice if it could recognize roman numerals and acronyms that have periods in them (I can understand that it has no way to identify the acronyms where they leave out the periods).

Curiously, if I choose the datfile case option, I get it all lowercased, even though I can see that it looks nothing at all like that when I open the datafile. It also likes to lowercase the names of my datfiles, too, for some mysterious reason, when I look at the list of them up top (it doesn't actually change the names of the dat files themselves, of course).

It would be nice if it didn't lowercase these things.
