Unable to fix rom with split samples.

Post by sbeaudoin »

Hi, I am using RomCenter 3.51 with a split/split/split configuration (roms, bios and samples). I have a rom path pointing to my roms folder and another rom path pointing to my samples folder. I configured this last folder as the folder containing the samples for my split set.

I have a yellow rom set file where all roms are ok, except there is 7 samples inside with the note "Not needed in this file". Ok, so I select "fix it" on the rom set, expecting it to remove those extra files. Nothing is done and I receive the following log :

hmmm...

There is one thing which is not yet implemented with samples : duplicates
Fixing samples means moving all of them into a single sample folder. If duplicates with different crc are found, nothing is done to prevent loosing files.
Check if you have duplicated samples in your sample folder and keep only one of them.

I don't know the best way to handle that. Maybe adding a treeview node for 'duplicates samples', and let the user decide which one to delete...
