Bug with 3.6.2 and compressed sample files ?

I noticed a weird bug today in 3.6.2, when I renamed a compressed sample file.

for example here is the sample file with normal name:



but If I rename the filename RC doesn't recognize it:



so impossible to fix file name with RC xD

This is absolutly normal.
rallyx sample is:

rallyx
  -bang.wav

Galaga sample is

Code: Select all

galaga
  -bang.wav

If your file is

Code: Select all

game.7z
  -bang.wav

Can you tell me if it is galaga or rallyx ?
The problem is that different samples 'bang' are used in differents games.

so this means some sample files are shared between different games ? no difference in the hash ?

Some samples are shared, yes, but the samples are different, and that's the problem !
The only way to identify these samples is by the file name. Change it and you must listen it to eventually find back the game.
