Only keep one language per game, keep savefile and more questions

Post by Kincaid »

Hey there, I just downloaded Romcenter 4 (had issues with the dat file in v3 which are fixed in 4, so I'll use the beta) and I have some questions about it.

1. Is the 1G1R feature from the v3 already implemented? If yes, where do I activate it? I can see a setting for regions and languages and I can check the box, but both lists are empty and I don't know how to add and sort the languages and regions I want to keep.

2. When I let Romcenter fix my roms it also deletes unnecessary files. That's fine, but can I set a filter for this? I tried it on some SNES roms and some of them have srm files with the saved data in it and I don't want these to be deleted. Is this possible or do I have to backup them before I let it fix the roms and then move them back again?

3. Let's say I have a list of roms in my romfolder. Then I get a load of new roms, some of them already in my library. What is the best way to merge these lists? Just move the new ones all in the rom folder and let Romcenter fix my roms so it deletes duplicates, clones and unwanted language/regions or is there a special feature to merge two collections?

This would be an amazing feature, to be sure. With so many minified projects (RetroPie and the like), cutting down on space is so helpful.

Thank you very much for adding this to your list!
