Add rom category like catver.ini

Hello all!

I'm testing the rc4 of 4.0 version. I think it is slower than 3.x version, but it is okay if it works as intended.

Eric, if you read this, it would be nice to have some compatibility with catver.ini to categorize the roms.

I find painful nowadays to classify between computers, mechanic games, casino games and slot machines that, at my own concern, are useless.

I had to use a 3rd party program named "MAME Content Manager", which selects uwanted roms - by the criteria given above - and renames the zip into *.mcm and move them to another location.

Would you please add "category" as another column in the main window where you fix the roms? It could go after "size" and before "zip comment"

Thanks!

Mon ami, both.

Fixing takes time, and sometimes it doesn't change the rom status. The rom keeps yellow and it is necessary to close the rompath to add it again... scan and fix...

Reloading a folder with 320 roms took more than 20 minutes.

Ver 3.x was efficient indeed. It is a pity it cannot stand databases of more of 500 mb. Arcade 64 0.209 works on 3.x flawessly, due that arcade 64 has only arcade systems, and doesn't have slot machines, mechanical games and others that get buklier the database.

I think that, with catver, databases will take less space and auditing specific games will increase the efficiency of romcenter. It is taking a hell to audit all roms - wanted or unwanted - and it will add a plus to audit specific sets of games.

By the way, it would be nice to export database to 3.x version as an additional option.
