Post by RomCenter » Thu May 15, 2014 6:26 pm

Due to regular spam, I activated an approbation for all posts from new users.

Nice move. It carries with it some moderation work but at least it keeps the forum clean...

I don't know. Having observed the behavior of several of the spam posters in this forum, i've come to the conclusion that some of them are humans that do a manual registration and make posts that contain text which is specifically formatted for this forum (contains certain keywords related to emulation). There is a chance of course this whole process is done by a bot, but sometimes i have the impression a human is involved. I guess implementing the captcha may answer this question...

Captcha is already there, and a question as well.
And a lot of term they use are banned (replaced with ***), but anyway, they add underscores or spaces to bypass the ban.
