Forum back online

Post by RomCenter »

Hi all

After the pirate attack of last week, I tried to get a backup of the forum from my hoster, but it seems it is not available. I will try again this week and if I manage to get one, I will reverse to it. So, board could be only temporary online.

It tooks quite a long time to get all things back. I had to change my admin password everywhere, I reinstalled the forum and update it with the latest security patch. It should be ok now.

The worst thing is that all posts are lost, so we will have to build a new knowledge base based on the current version of romcenter. If you have found some bugs (and I know you have), please post here so that we can keep track of them.

Thanks you for all your messages and I hope you will be happy to talk in this new forum.

Hi Eric. I'd just like to wish you good luck with bringing the forum back online.

I'd also like to send a message to people like the one who brought the forum down: if you want to prove how great you are, try building something instead of destroying other people's work (from which btw, they gain no profit)...

OH WELL.

That hurts.

Eric, I hope - unless 2.70b1 fixes it - I'm again able to explain the memory / OS blocking problem in full detail as before.
At first, I had thought it was simply a campaign from the administration staff to kill all those "unnecessary" old posts ;)
