Disk full error when 100GB was free

I just tried to do a repair operation on my MAME directory (which is about 4.5gb) I wanted to merge all my split ROM sets. Romcentre went away and started doing this, but kept telling me the "disk full" eventually it crashed altogether. I have 100gb free on the drive with my MAME roms on it.

I`m using Windows XP pro on a Pentuim 4 2.6ghz 512mb ram, My hard disks are a raid0 array, if that makes any difference.

Check if the disk where romcenter is installed is not full.

Actually RomCenter is very "picky" about disk space. It often rejects moving files within same drive because of lack of space.
Also - amount of space needed seems to be checked vs. uncompressed files - even when I try to move ZIPs.
