ecc - emuControlCenter

Hi,

* Updated screenshot (2008/04/01)

im writing a tool called ecc emuContolCenter. Its a tool to manage your roms and show you things like screenshots, rom-informations and dat-informations. It can parse headers of all rom-types, if a parser is written. I will show infos at http://www.camya.com/ within the next few days.

The tool is 80% done... and running without big errors.

At this moment, i create a new datformat for ecc:

I'm a little unsure why someone would want all the frills of screen shots etc that ecc provides.

When I use a rom management tool such as RC or clrMAMEpro, I use it to verify my roms and rename and add where appropriate.

I dont need all the extra info that ecc provides, only that my roms are correct.

Verifying roms for me should be quick and without little effort. It seems ecc is about staying within ecc to look up info and screenshots aswell as verifying.

I'm not too sure what your audience will be especially when RC and clr are already doing the job at hand?

Ok, if the only think you need is a management and verify-tool, ecc could not help you, i think.

If you want have a collection of games with screenshots and additional informations to quick find and quick start roms, ecc could be a tool for you.

The main goal for me was to create a tool for no Tech-Freaks to quick find there favourite Roms. (Btw. a Bookmark System is planned

)
