Error : The operation completed successfully

Post by sbeaudoin »

Hi, I am using vista home premium with SP1 and romcenter version 3 final with a brand new database. I execute romcenter with the "as an administrator" option. I then include a rom path and some roms are yellow. If i ask to correct it, the following appears :

--->Rename files
Merge rom konamigv.zip\999a01.7e/999a01.7e with roms\btchamp/999a01.7e
**Error :Can't copy file.
The operation completed successfully

Merge rom konamigv.zip\btchmp.25c/btchmp.25c with roms\btchamp/btchmp.25c
**Error :Can't copy file.
The operation completed successfully

Merge not done
File roms\konamigv.zip renamed to btchamp.zip
**Error: file [btchamp.zip] found on disk, but not in Database: skipped

I checked the security on the first file, I am the owner, I can open the file with winrar and then add a new file without any problems. I can provide the rom file if requested.

It seems there is a problem with your file: the rom name is repeated (konamigv.zip\btchmp.25c/btchmp.25c)...
Can you send me the file at help at romcenter.com ?
Thanks

I solved the problem by removing the second file. For example, in the first line, I left konamigv and deleted btchamp. It was probably corrupted. I am sending you both files.

I think the problem was that konamigz was really btchamp and romcenter detected it as the column 'Expected name' was saying 'btchamp' and the info column was saying 'bad file name'. But when he tried to rename it to btchamp, it gave an error because the btchamp file was already there.
