BUG: RC and dummy rom creation

Even after disabling the creation of dummy roms, RC still shows roms as yellow and indicates they can be generated in the info section. IMO, dummy roms are useless and the feature should be removed. Sets with No Dumps or Needs Redump roms should be green and the info column should indicate which roms are No Dumps or Needs ReDump as per MAME.

Nice idea, there would be a problem though. MAME would not execute the game at all because of the missing rom, so you would not be able to see its progress, even if the bad-dumped rom was insignificant for the gameplay.

Thats funny because I have plenty of games with NoDumps and Needs ReDump status and they load in MAME just fine. Most of them are pal roms that according to Guru, aren't really needed for the game to play. Point is that if the rom needs redumped or no dump exists, creating a dummy rom isn't going to fix the situation. Clrmame recently removed dummy rom support.

Yes but do NoDumps and Needs ReDump roms exist in the zip? If not, and mame loads the game without complaining then i guess it could be removed from Romcenter. It would simplify things a bit. Perhaps then, Romcenter could have a "remove bad dumps from zip" instead of the "create bad dumps" option... :)

P.S.: Of course it would not be necessary. "Remove useless files" would do the job just fine.

If 'bad dump' roms are no more needed in mame, I could take this into account in a future version.
Can someone confirm that ?

Here is the results of my MAMEUI 127.6 rom audit. All of the games listed here boot and are playable, save the ones with driver problems and there are no dummy roms. Check with Roman, I'm sure her could explain this better than me :)

I can confirm nodump roms aren't needed in the set anymore. But I believe baddump ones are still needed.
