hi, i tried to search for an answer but with no luck

lets say i got a collection of 875 roms out of 914...
then i download a full rom pack with some roms i need...

what is the best way to "scan" the download folder and move or copy the missing roms to the main rom folder ?

Hi there and welcome.

Copy all files from the download folder to the main folder (from windows explorer) but don't overwrite anything (so this will copy all files that exist in the download but do not exist in the main folder). Then add the download folder as a rom path and scan and fix the main folder. Of course the main folder must have also been added as a rom path. RC will take from the download folder all roms that are missing from the main folder and add them there.

Of course since as you say have downloaded a complete set, you could always verify it with RC and then if it is indeed OK, copy and overwrite all files from the download folder to the main.
