When creating a new DB from an emulator, in Advanced Settings you can select various modes except Samples Split mode. I suspect it is done on purpose (since a samples path must be entered for a DB that hasn't been created yet) but i'd like some confirmation on this. Eric?

Yes, as you can't add rom folder before db creation, It's not possible to use the sample mode at this stage.
