I'm in the process of converting preeetty much everything that can be converted to CHD.

Just wondering if romcenter will still peg it as OK with the dat, or if i just royally screwed myself?

Hi

Romcenter will store CHD unzipped in a folder with same name as the game, as expected in mame.
You can try it on several chd from a backup and check if it is what you expect.

Btw, final release will be out by the end of the month. (No changes about chd in it).

TY for info on the new release :)

As for chd's I meant in regard to non mame stuff.

aka, ive converted my sega cd bin/cue files into chd. Will they still scan in/line up with the dat files or does being chd change the parameters romcenter uses for identification?

Rom are processed as chd if they have the flag 'Disk' in the datafile.
The crc calculator extracts then the sha-1 value from the mame chd header.

Hi,

I would like my segacd roms to be recognized in chd format as well. Where this "disk" flag should be added ?

Hi. This is not something you have to add. It should exist in the datafile you choose to use. It's not a user choice. If a rom should be of "chd" format, it will be defined as that in the datafile and recognized as such by the emulators.
