I've recently noticed something that has been posted here in the past by others. I have noticed it several times with mame but i think it has happened a couple of times with other datafiles too. I cannot describe a way to recreate it though.
If you i.e have a mame v0.90 data file and everytime a new version is released you recreate a new datafile, RC comes to a point where it does not show the correct data on screen. It may show some roms as missing when they are actually present or vice versa. The only way to solve this problem is to delete all files from cache. I remember in a previous post of yours, you said you are planning some redesigns in RC. If you are planning on redesigning the display/cache management section then i hope the new design will not have that problem. If you are not then please have in mind that this problem exists.

Beta 7 (and previous romcenters):
CHD: I am hoping that perhaps in a future version there will be some auto-ignore on CHD files. It can take beyond words to scan in the CHD's, and even then ROMcenter does nothing with them I wouldn't mind so much if it actually utilised them!!
